Every 21 October, World Energy Saving Day is celebrated, a key date that aims to promote the importance of energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption.

Why is World Energy Saving Day celebrated?
This day originated from growing concerns about climate change and energy resource scarcity and was established with the aim of raising awareness in society about the importance of reducing energy consumption in all areas of life.
In a global context where climate change and resource scarcity are a reality, energy efficiency has become one of the most effective tools for reducing our carbon footprint.
This day invites us to rethink our habits and commit to cleaner and more sustainable technologies, such as LED lighting. It is also an opportunity to highlight the role that innovative companies play in promoting solutions that enable the rational use of energy.
The role of Ximenez Group in energy efficiency
Ximenez Group, a leader in the decorative and artistic lighting sector, continues to focus on innovation and sustainability through increasingly efficient and sustainable lighting projects that have enabled it to become a benchmark in the industry.
Replacing all incandescent lighting with LED technology has significantly reduced the electricity consumption of its lighting projects. This also led to it being recognised as one of the 101 examples of companies in 2019 during the Climate Summit in Madrid.
Thanks to this transformation, Ximenez Group reduced its energy consumption by up to 90% and avoided the emission of almost 9,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere, marking an important milestone for the company in fulfilling one of its strategic pillars: energy efficiency.
Another important milestone for the company in terms of energy savings was the creation and patenting of an innovative lighting product, the most sustainable on the market, Ecogreenlux. This type of lighting combines energy efficiency with an original design, decorating during the day without consuming energy and illuminating at night in an efficient manner thanks to its high aesthetic value, the use of LED technology and its high capacity to concentrate light inside.
What makes this lighting product innovative is that, thanks to the combination of its elements, it allows for a reduction in energy consumption of up to 60% compared to traditional lighting fixtures, significantly decreasing CO2 emissions and reducing light pollution by up to 93%.
