The story
of a Christmas star
Ximenez Group was founded in 1945 by Francisco Jiménez Carmona, in Puente Genil (Córdoba), in the heart of Andalusia. The company’s history dates back to a simple wooden star that the founder made and to which he attached several light bulbs to decorate the display window of the small appliance store he had in the town.
This idea was so striking and proved so successful that the townspeople gathered every evening around the display window of Mr. Francisco’s store to enjoy that small illumination. As a result, the Town Hall of the town commissioned him to illuminate the main street of Puente Genil. A first commission that would be expanded shortly afterward to illuminate the rest of the town and, in subsequent years, other neighboring municipalities.
The growth of Ximenez Group
With the arrival of the new millennium, Ximenez Group ventured into the international market, led by the third generation. This strategic move and expansion have transformed Ximenez Group into one of the world’s leading companies in decorative lighting, establishing itself as an international reference.
