The initiative, made possible through an agreement with the Portuguese company Impactplan and developed by Ximenez Noreste, has already begun to be implemented in Catalonia and Navarre, with plans to expand throughout Spain
Ximenez Group, a leader in decorative and artistic lighting, has signed an agreement with the Portuguese company Impactplan to launch the Magical Ceilings initiative in Spain, through its subsidiary Ximenez Noreste. The project has already started in the Northeast region, with installations completed in Sant Feliu de Codines, Tudela, Calaf, La Pobla de Mafumet, Cabanillas, and Torrent, and plans to progressively extend to other regions across the country.
A new urban concept: shade, color, and dynamism
Magical Ceilings are decorative overhead installations made from recycled PVC. They are timeless and combine color, shade, and movement, promoting sustainability, local commerce, and visitor attraction in urban settings. Their design brings multiple functional and aesthetic benefits:
-
Solar protection and coolness: They create shaded areas that reduce direct sun exposure, making outdoor spaces more pleasant and comfortable for walking or resting.
-
Color and visual impact: They bring dynamism and a distinctive touch to urban landscapes, becoming an attraction for both residents and visitors.
-
Boosting local commerce: By beautifying streets, they encourage pedestrian flow and enhance the appeal of local businesses.
-
Increased visitor numbers: The originality and visual impact of the installations make them a tourist draw, increasing footfall and visibility in the areas where they are installed.
Return on investment
Magical Ceilings represent not only an aesthetic and sustainable initiative but also a profitable investment for the municipalities and organizations that implement them. Their ability to revitalize local commerce, attract visitors, and increase pedestrian traffic translates into tangible economic returns.
The areas where they are installed have recorded significant growth in commercial and tourist activity, boosting local business and revitalizing urban economies. Furthermore, their durability and low maintenance costs ensure long-term profitability, establishing Magical Ceilings as an efficient, high-value solution for transforming public spaces.
Collections and customization
The initiative launches with five main collections — Tropicalia, Sea Weed, Color Rain, Sky Garden, and Inverted Garden — which reinterpret urban decoration through creative, original designs that fill streets with color and vitality.
Each project can be customized to meet specific client needs, including options such as flags, symbols, or other personalized design elements.
Magical Ceilings is a timeless project designed to endure and adapt to different environments and requirements over time.
Commitment to sustainability
The PVC used in Magical Ceilings incorporates polymers derived from recycled materials, reinforcing Ximenez Group’s commitment to sustainability, circular economy principles, and environmentally friendly solutions.
“With the Magical Ceilings initiative, we take another step forward in our vision to transform urban spaces into environments full of life, color, and emotion,” says Mariano Ximénez, CEO of Ximenez Group. “This agreement with Impactplan allows us to expand our creative reach and offer innovative solutions that not only beautify cities but also generate value for local commerce and strengthen tourism appeal,” adds Ximénez.
With this agreement, Ximenez Group continues to expand its innovative capacity, transforming urban environments into vibrant, colorful, and dynamic spaces — consolidating its position as a global leader in artistic lighting and decorative projects.
